Nicole Lawrence is the Director of Programs and Alumni. She has been with E CITY since its start-up phase. Passionate about E CITY’s mission, Nicole, as well as the rest of the staff, volunteered her time for the first half of 2002 without pay while studying to receive her MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. She was awarded her MBA with a concentration in nonprofit management in May 2002.
Nicole received her BA from Oberlin College in African-American Studies. Although originally from NY, Nicole has been a Cleveland resident for the past 8 years. Much of her free time has been spent volunteering for several youth organizations. While obtaining her MBA from Weatherhead, Nicole was a mentor with the Weatherhead School of Management/John Hay High School Partnership program.
She was also a Junior Achievement volunteer at Cuyahoga Heights High School teaching the JA Titan program. In addition to her volunteer work Nicole served as a strategic planning consultant for the Spring Garden Waldorf School in Akron, OH.
As her past volunteer work demonstrates, Nicole has always had a passion for working with youth. In this position, Nicole has been able to touch the lives of many inner city youths and help them to realize their dreams through business and entrepreneurship education. In her expanded role, she looks forward to working with our growing group of alumni by creating diverse programs, allowing them to further develop their entrepreneurial skills.
